It's a Boy!!!

Well it's officially a boy. Travis and I are so excited. We can now start picking out names, toys , and clothes. We went to the early ultrasound place that a bunch of my girlfriends had told us about. It was so cool to see the baby that clear on a flat screen TV. Travis and I had gone to breakfast right before , so we could have the baby wake up and be active when we did the ultrasound. As soon as the lady put the wand to my stomach our little boy gave us a huge wave and high five. It was amazing. It was also a little weird considering the baby was moving, stretching, and waving , and I didn't feel a thing. They say in the next couple of weeks I will start feel him. CRAZY!!

It's a...

Nothing much going on this week. I had a doctor's appointment on Monday. I heard the heartbeat again which is always very cool. The doctor said it's easy to find on my belly compared to her other patients. Other than that everything s going as planned.

Travis and I will be finding out what we are having on Saturday. So please get your votes in and your bets down. The last time I checked it looked as though a "boy" was winning, but it is pretty much is neck and neck when I ask relatives and friends that have not been to the blog yet. We will be happy with either one, but my guess is boy and Travis' is girl. So we will see in a couple of days. I'm super excited. I will post the ultrasound picture as soon as we get home.

Uhhhhh!

I want the sickness to end already. I had a great week last week and I think I jinxed myself (again!) telling everyone I feel fine. Now I don't feel good at all. Please make it stop. PLEASE!!

CAUGHT

So I walk into my office after I had to run an errand and find my cafe' mocha all over my desk. As I am trying to clean up the mess , I turn around and I see the the dogs covered in chocolate. I had to take some pictures. Notice the guilty looks on their faces.

Beach Fun

We decided that since we got off early enough on Friday to enjoy the sunlight that we would take our pups to the dog beach. Probably the best thing about living near the beach. The both of them start freaking, once we go down Goldenwest. Travis likes to roll down the windows, so they can smell the ocean, it's really funny.Usually we walk them before we go to the beach to get them kinda tired because if we don't they tend to get on the defensive of one another and then a fight breaks out. Our dogs don't bite or anything , but there is a lot of jumping and crazy barking. Gracie was a bully this time and jump on a dogs back for no apparent reason than having Bogie have her back. Bogie was having none of it and walked away from the fight. He wanted to just cruise since it had been awhile between dog beach trips. It actually has been a long time since we have had such a family bonding time. I love my little family.

Jenny's Bachelorette Brunch

Claudia had a great idea of having a champagne brunch at Bayside for Jenny's bachelorette. (Great set-up Claud)Since most of us could not attend the cruise the girls had planned for May. The Bayside brunch is famous for the free flowing champagne and the hangover's that they cause on Monday morning's. This Sunday however was a bit different than the ones in the past. We had a very nice meal and no hangover's were necessary. I think we are all growns up. I had such a nice time catching up with the girls that we decided to head over to Gulfstream to enjoy the Hottest day in March. It was beautiful.

Best wishes Jenny on her up coming wedding!!

Great hair Jen!!
Where's my champagne??

5th Wedding Anniversary

Trav and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on the 8th. We had a great day . We went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Both of us had never been before and we had a blast. I kept telling Trav to put his hand in every little touchy pool there was. He finally did because a little girl about 4 put her hand right in to touch the sting rays. I was laughing so hard.
By far the best things to see were the Sea Lions and the different types of jellyfish. I didn't think I would learn so much about the fishes in one day. It was great and I highly recommend going if you haven't. We then decided that we would go out for a nice dinner, but ended up at Ruby's diner in CDM. Man are those shakes good. We really didn't mean to have such a kid friendly day , but just ended up that way. Haha.

The dogs before I left...

The girls and I usually go on a "Girls Trip" probably twice a year and with all the new mommies , jobs, and family obligations it's been diffcult to coordinate one. We finally managed to scrap one together, although some ladies were missed. Nicole and her parents were nice enough to lend their vacation house in Big Bear to us crazy girls. The house is a-m-a-z-i-n-g to say the least. I would like to thank them again for letting hang out there. Anyway, I was a little nervous that because I wasn't able to join in with the drinking that I would be bored. Not the case at all. We had the best time and I probably cried from laughing so hard at least 3 times. Playing drinking games with non-alcoholic beer made no difference at all. We ate tons of food and played caps for about 5 hours. My team... dubbed "Team Awesome" were the victors. We picked names from a hat and like I promsied Kelly I would not post the picture of her face when the teams were announced. It was priceless. Guess what team she was on? Can't wait for the next trip.
