I love my new Chair

At Work

The world's greatest boss.

AfterShots

So they say to monitor your baby after their shots. They can run a fever, get a rash, a be a bit fussy. They don't mention that your kid may turn into Damien. He would not stop nursing or crying. He did not want to be put down and be away from us. It was rough couple of days. Thank goodness it passed. I think we can keep him still. haha

2 month Checkup

We had our 2 month checkup and here are the results. Jonathan weighs 9 lbs 5 oz in the 10th percentile. He is 23 inches long in the 75th percentile. Very long and lean. The way the ladies like him. He is a very social baby. He can smile, coo, roll from tummy to back, lift his head while on his tummy, stand and hold his weight(he can not get enough of this), startle, and follow objects and voices. We had all of our shots 6 in all and he was a marine. He cried just when the needle went in and that was it. The doctor said he is on the right track and very healthy. Not to mention sweet.

My New Hat

Mom puts this hat on me on laughs for 10 minutes. Isn't he the best. So cute

Super Swaddle

This is at bedtime. We are so sweet and cuddly

Halloween

Our cute little tiger. We were a little to small for trick or treating, but we went to Grandma and Grandpa's to pass out candy. Next year we can't wait.

Hanging with the Bog

Thanks to Terry Pogue for this great quilt. He loves tummy time on this.

Here is Jonathan and Bogie hanging out. They are the best of friends. He hasn't warmed up to Gracie quite yet. They both are still sniffing each out.

A Swingin' Good time

Auntie Diana let us borrow her swing and we love it. Baby J loves it cause he gets his swing on and I love it because I can actually take a shower and get things done around the house. Thanks Aunite D!!

Special Thanks

I wanted to give a special thanks to my wonderful husband. You were so calm and cool and that really helped me get through all of this. We make the best team and I couldn't ask for a better man to have our son to look up to. I love you Travis and I am honored to be your wife. I can't wait to see what the future holds for our family.

THANK YOU!!

Our New Addition

Our view from Hoag Hospital
Wow he is long!

Our little guy has finally arrived. Jonathan Donald Vandagriff weighed in at 6 lbs. 12 oz and 20 inches long. He is the most beautiful baby I have ever laid my eyes on. Just because he is all mine and I love every inch of him. I had the greatest labor experience and wanted to thank all our friends and family that have come by, called, and sent us their congrats. We can't wait for all of you to see him.

The Saddest Face in the World

Gracie gets coned. My dog has OCD and scratches her face all the time. Now it looks like she is a meth addict with open sores on her face. I thought I would share this because she was so bummed that the cone had to come out.

38 weeks

Love my pink jamy pants. This is what 38 weeks and 4 days looks like. I know, not pretty. I am now over it. I am uncomfortable and hate everyone and everything. Mostly because I move around at a snail's pace and can not even bend down without making a grunt sound. I WANT BABY OUT!!
There has been progress. I had my doctor's appointment today and am I 1 cm dilated and the baby has dropped. He is now officially on top of my bladder which makes me want to pee every 5 seconds. I asked how much the baby might weigh, and the doctor said about 7 lbs. Which is only a guess , since they can't really predict that sort of thing without an ultrasound. Baby J is on he way and I hope by this weekend we will have a new Bruin fan to cheer on with mommy. God knows we need the help.

I have been finding Bogie in the nursery sleeping or just hanging out by himself lately. Do you think he knows some thing's up?

37 weeks

37 Weeks

So, I skipped 36 weeks sue me.

I went to my 37 week appointment yesterday and still nothing going on down there. Baby J is not in any hurry I guess to come out. My cervix is closed and I am still measuring at 36 cm. Oh well. My feet and hands have been swelling quite a bit the last 2 weeks. Which probably isn't a surprise since it is still crazy hot and I am 9 months pregnant. But the swelling in my feet has got kinda out of control and the doctor was shocked at my 3 lb. weight gain this week. She asked if I was still working and I said '' yes''. Her response ... "Stop." This was not the greatest news for me to hear and judging from my and facial expression my doctor's next response was " just let it go". What??? Working is all I know how to do, without a baby to take care of, what can I possibly do all day? How many errands can you do for the next 2 weeks? I have not adjusted well to this news and was almost in tears. I know that probably sounds stupid, but I think it all just hit me at once that my life will be ultimately changed forever.

I guess I will just have to suck it up and roll with the punches.
