35 Weeks

Still putting things away and getting organized. And look at those swollen sausages (feet). Wow!! I am officially BIG.

The Countdown

So, the countdown has begun. I am now 35 weeks and going to the doctor every week from here on out. I had my appointment yesterday and I am measuring at 34 cm and the baby's weight is around 5 lbs. give or take. My cervix is thinning, but not opened. I can't believe this is happening. I feel like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant and now he is actually going to be here soon. I have totally mixed emotions about the whole thing. One second I am crazy excited, next I am in the fetal position, wondering why I did this. They say it's totally normal. But you get the feeling like you shouldn't voice that side. The "I'm freaking out" side. But I am putting it out there for all to see.

I will try to post a picture of the belly every week to go along with doctor appointment updates. For now here is a picture of my first babies. The Bogie and The Gracie.

Nursery

Here are a couple of pictures of the nursery/office/man cave. I decided that if I am going to have to be a shut in I was going to need a great TV . So here is my little man's new space. Totally equipped with Playstation and a comfy leather chair. Hopefully he will appreciate these...one day!! It's not quite finished, but it's getting there.

We were lucky enough to have the greatest shower thrown for baby V. Kelly and Karen out did themselves with every detail. From the food to the games, everything was perfect. Check out the pictures. I had a blast and so did my mother-in-law which she still can't stop talking about it. Haha!! We wanted to thank Auntie Claudia for bringing the cutest cake ever. It was awesome. Also, thank my Auntie Dee for coming down from Fresno and making the gigantic diaper cake with her presents for baby V hidden inside. It was amazing. Last, to the most caring and giving friends a girl could ask for. THANK YOU!! I couldn't do what I do or be who I am without you guys.

This is me at 31 weeks. WOW!! How did I get so big? I will tell you....dessert. I need cake, candy, iced cream, cookies, you name it after every meal. It's becoming a sickness really. I know I will regret posting this and actually eating all of this when this is all said and done. But boy does all that stuff taste so good. So screw it.

Now on to the kid. He has moved up into my rib cage. Which isn't that comfortable. He is all over the place and seems like he is going to be coming out of skin at any moment. I know right? He has been kicking me all over the place, it's nuts. I have been feeling well. I have had a few headaches here and there , but nothing serious. Travis has been letting me sleep in a extra 1/2 hour every morning and that has helped a lot. We are still really busy at work and I need all the extra sleep I can get. Working 10-12 hours a day takes a toll on my body. This is why my blogging totally sucks. But I am starting to set-up my home office and hopefully this will help with my updating. So all of you that have been giving me the business, this will get better.
